And it seem that we can't get away from the 4's. Billy keep camping in Luke 4 and let's turn there and visit with Billy, ["... 16And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him..."] And we see here that the Lord and his servant come to give deliverance with the Truth. But if only the Truth was sugar coated then it would be easier to see and perhaps give away. And Jesus came to comfort the broken hearted and give bread to the poor, and deliver the captives. But what about those that love their captivity and their poverty and their chains because they have grown to like the neighborhood and freinds there who also like the rent there...? And my bible keeps opening to John 4 and let turn there and why the Lord would not eat but wanted to have this dialogue of life with this 'poor' woman who only wanted to be left alone and carry our her water and her business. John 4, ["... 9Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life..."] And Jesus want like a shaft of light come into the life of those who come draw water and need this water from heaven which God know every human man, woman and child needs to have success in the end and in the end of his or her life! God did create man to be thirst and hungry but to ask for that he needs to be fulfilled and his-her days continued. But God must here me ask. He says, "...Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water..."] And the kingdom of Heaven is just an asking away! How much 'rope' do you need to ask and draw out the living water...?! May you be blessed. Amen. thbg
And the concern of God is this: That after Jesus has made you, me, us free in the spirit, why do we want to become perfect on the flesh? Let's turn to Galactians on this matter,
["...2.Galatians 2:16 (Whole Chapter)
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified..."]
["...4.Galatians 3:3 (Whole Chapter)
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?..."]
Really try to see what God is saying here! We take on a task to prove something to some pastor or bible study teacher, that we really are Christian because we really feel the holiness of some sort? And we want to obey God because we love him, God, and know that obeying him is wise.
But we shouldn't go on a rampade trying to prove that we are saved, if only we feel we perfectly obeyed him on our human strength!? Works Gospel!...
May you be blessed. Amen.
And I question my real concern on this matter? Do I feel vain glory to tell this thing and perhaps judge others and I too perhaps feel that I have earned perfect holy points to judge others? And see my own poverty on this matter and see that I too have to deal with my own humaness and 'short of gloryness' that I have...
And I was looking in my back yard the pigeons eat the dog food I had put on the doghouse roof and marvel at them eat the morsels kibblets off the plate there! And I thought about the parable of the sower that it says that the sower, Jesus, sows the word, but some seeds fall in the hard place and the birds, devils, come eat, out of it, because those seed have no chance in heaven of taking root...
And I feel like my words fall into a hard place too and they have no chance of taking root. The devils come and take the message away with their self contrived reasonings and philosophies and somethings they heard from liars and someone else. But I hope one seed take root in all of this and then I know I have accomplished my purpose for Jesus...
May you be blessed. Amen.
And I just remember dear Anita, something Paul told Timothy, that some are always learning but never quiet come to the knowledge of the truth. Let turn there,
["...194.2 Timothy 3:7 (Whole Chapter)
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth..."]
And they never come to the knowledge that we are sinners that need to repent...
May you be blessed. Amen.
