3 Things I Have Learned About God The Older I've Gotten

I will plunge straight in with the following hits on the nose that have woken me up.

1/ No matter how much I kid myself I really do not know how to pray. Therefore, I have found that praying in the spirit is the only way to be sure that my prayers are Gods prayers.

2/ You cannot win every battle for as Ephesians 6 reminds us; we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

3/ God is always close by even if we do not perceive his presence. Why am I so confident? Because he often leaves us with love notes as he nudges circumstances in our favour. Unfortunately, we miss most of these moments.

Am I the first?

I smiled when I read number 3 because you see, the very first blog I posted on CB was entitled A Love Note From God

Great blog!

+1 for the issue of prayer. While I have come to believe that xenoglossia is the only Biblically identifiable form of glossolalia, I very much understand the vain repetitions (Matthew 6:7) that can come with years and years of praying. It is one of those things that I have often struggled with trying to reason through.
