500th Anniversary - just past by

October 31st has passed and gone but how many of us in Christendom gave a thought to this day being the 5ooth anniversary of the reformation.  On that day 5oo years ago Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis on the door of the church in Wittenberg and thus began the protestant movement.  Did anyone remember this and celebrate Gods intervention and give praise for the restoration of justification by faith alone?

Or were we consumed with Halloween?  That celebration of all that is black and demonic that has no place in the heart of a Christian.  The two week leading up to October 31 I and many other soldiers of Christ have been under spiritual demonic witch craft attack.  And some in the church celebrate that!

It is no coincidence that Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses on the Wittenberg’s cathedral door and this year, the 500th anniversary happens to be the Jewish year 5778; the year of the open door.  This coming year will go down in church history as the beginning of the second reformation.  This will be more than a revival; for reformation transforms society.  Watch out the wrecking ball of Gods kingdom will smash down the pillars of society.

We are in for an exciting tumultuous time ahead.  Are we ready to ride with God on his wrecking ball?

I knew about it being the 500th year but I did not know Martin Luther did that on October 31st.

I saw a cartoon that showed Luther nailing the list to the door and saying "No your door is fine, its your theology I'm fixing". :)

We have been celebrating this Anniversary at home and only this week I have been in Scotland and bought a book on the slaughter of the scots Presbyterians who held to the words of Luther in the reformation.
We even studied your ancestor "John Knox" .

Thank you for this blog ... such a good word and I forgot Luther chose Oct. 31st. May God's next reformation sweep across the earth blowing in the wind of His Spirit upon all flesh. In Him, Les

I did not know that but will remember going forward. Thank you for the blog.

I never remember the date in particular but I have been making references to this noble act of gracious zeal of Martin Luther and sincerely I have found myself in such circumstance and i could tell it takes only the Lord to deliver any man who will stand to change christian church system from being destroyed. It hurts my heart to know that we who could reckon with this great act of reformation could not go beyond where he had left the reform or should I say that the christian church and faith have been lukewarm to any change and even what we reckon to Martin is not anymore protesting the errors of grand whoredom of the Christendom. How reformed are we despite all our inputs? Martin and many of his like are in their graves awaiting 'rapture' to crown all their labor of faith but I wonder if they won't have to wait for more hundreds of years because of the way we are indifferent about entering the Kingdom of God?
