A Prophetic History or Word

Ever since the realization came to me that I had a prophetic calling I have been remiss for one reason of another that I have neglected the fan into flame the gift.  2 Timothy 1:6.  But God in his mercy has walked with me in my prodigal seasons and is bringing me into alignment with his will.  Jeremiah 29:11.

In fact, the history of the prophetic demonstrates the love the Father has for the bride of Christ.  During the misleading reign of the Roman Church up to the reformation, the Pope was made to usurp the role of Jehovah due to an erroneous understanding of Matthew 16:18-19.  During the glorious reformation that renewed and realigned the pathway of the church concerning salvation, Luther, Zwingli and Calvin allowed the enemy to derail the renewal.  They rightly tore down the teaching of the Pope having absolute authority but in my opinion wrongly replacing the scriptures with the same authority.

From this misplaced understanding came the protestant creed common to all the 'break-away' denominations, that the Bible is the sole authority in faith and church practice.  Over time this understanding was hijacked by a 'religious spirit'  that transformed the scriptures from a 'living rhema word' to a book of rules and regulations that have brought condemnation.  This extreme form of placing the Bible above God was seen in the proponents that the KJV was sacrosanct and all other translations were of the devil.  I do not wish to go down this rabbit trail but suffice to say that the original language of the scriptures was not the KJ English.

When God in his mercy began to restore the gifts, the prophetic was rejected, as in the protestant/evangelist umbrella churches for there was no 'chapter and verse' associated with the prophetic word.  The Roman church found the wind of the charismatic movement upsetting as the authority of the Pope was being questioned by the prophetic word.

I thank the Lord of Lights that his love towards the bride of Christ demonstrates that the light will always overcome the darkness for the prophetic word is now recognized and established in many assemblies and congregations.  Which brings us to the present day where I sense in my spirt that the Father is calling us to let down our 'prophetic net' on the right side.  John 21.

One of the functions of the prophetic word is to bring edification and enlightenment to the body of Christ so as that we all grow up unto the head; Christ himself.  1 Corinthians 14:3  I cannot see any reason why the prophetic word cannot be seen standing before Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers as in the OT, for did not Jesus say that we would do greater things when the Holy Spirit fell on all flesh?  Not that I discourage edification, but we need to see that God is doing a new thing which he is revealing to his servants the prophets.  Amos 3:7  It is time to press into a new alignment concerning the prophetic.

To bring this word up to date, the recent earthquakes in Southern California have been prophesized for some time, in fact within the last week the Lord released a word through his servant Christianna Schreifels that was posted on Elijah list.  But not only in California but God is increasing his shaking across the nations as his servants the prophets are releasing such prophetic words.  But these words are not 'doom and gloom' for they are a time of rejoicing as Gods plans for salvation are being revealed.  Such shakings are also a time for prayer as in 2 Chronicles 14 for God is about to plant oaks of righteousness across the nations.

As for my myself I see in the spirit that my country; NZ will be shaken by the Lord of Hosts for as lightning strikes the earth, so to will our parliament be opened by the thunderbolts of Gods hand.  To this end I have been encouraged to pray for righteousness to fall on this land and for justice to rise in the streets and corridors of power.  Decisions and words spoken in the darkness will be revealed as Gods light penetrates the 'law-makers.'

Yes, this is a time of rejoicing as Gods reformation and revolution gathers speed across the nations with the prophetic word at the fore-front; for will not the church be build and come to maturity on the foundations of the apostles and prophets, with Christ the chief corner-stone?

I understand what you are saying in regards to scripture and the proponents of KJV Only but I am also extremely wary of "New Word", "New Revelation", etc. God does not contradict Himself and any prophesy that is contrary to His Word should not be taken lightly! This is why it is so important for us to know the Word of God for ourselves as well as "try the spirit" so we will know what is genuine and what is not.

I become alarmed when I hear Christians say, "God is not on the move." He most certainly is! If we are not seeing God at work, perhaps we need to change our position and get to a place where we CAN see!
