Boom Boom goes the Battering Ram

As I walked along our waterfront the other day the Holy Spirit spoke these words into my heart – ‘Boom; Boom.’  I immediately recalled a TV programme aired many decades back of Basil Brush, a puppet whose catch phrase was Boom; Boom; Boom.  Later that same week I heard on ‘Americas Got Talent’ a song that was entitled Boom; Boom: with the chorus,a repetition of Boom Boom.

In my spirit I knew the Lord was speaking to me.  As I was praying into this revelation, the word of the Lord come to me – ‘Boom; Boom goes the battering ram.’

Quickly pull up the drawbridge we are under siege.  Lock the doors, close the gates, run up to the ramparts, blow the horn.  Get ready, wake up, the enemy is at the door.  Wake up church.

Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.   Joel 1.

This is a call to battle stations.  Watchman, man your posts and blow the trumpet.  Prophets seek the Lord for his strategy.  Seers seek the Lord and tell us what you see.  Priests rend your garments and cry before the alter.

Come my people and gather up your weapons of righteousness, one in the right hand and the other in the left; standing firm with the Lords victory and promises in your heart, while running to battle with a sober mind and girded lions.

The two weapons that we have been given are firstly the confidence and power in the word of God.  Secondly from our lips the declaring and decreeing of God’s word.

For our bodies command our mind to stand on Isaiah 53:5 – ‘by his wounds we are healed.’  Repeated again in 1 Peter.  Once we have established this weapon in our heart; begin to declare and decree this truth before the courts of heaven.  Keep using this strategy until the enemy flees and then some more, for Satan can easily return and catch us unawares.

Any other battle go into the fight with these word in our heart, shouting then out loud – ‘we are more than conquerors through him who loves us’  Romans 8:37.  Again, declare and decree these words before the just judge in the heavenly courts.  Repeat again and again, even when victory is assured

Rally round the troops, gather a prayer team around you, earnestly seek the Fathers face knowing that all things work together for good to those who love him and are called to his will.  Romans 8:28.  For when two or three are gathered in his name, behold, he is in their midst.

Take up communion on a daily basis feeding regularly on the bread and wine of the risen Christ, who for the joy set before him endured the pain and suffering for us, so that his broken body should ensure our un-broken body.  Feed on the poured-out wine of Christ so that our life may be full and fuller.

Do not feat the battering ram, do not fear the siege, do not fear the battle.  Run to the Lord, resist the devil and victory will be ours in Christ.

PS  the other day I felt listless, lacking energy, lolling around.  I knew that some of my meds that I take can cause this, but I have committed the ‘so called ‘side effects to the Lord and the documented effects have not bothered me.  Suddenly I discerned, as I looked to the Lord that witch craft was battering on my door.  I arose in the strength of the Lord and put the enemy to flight and went out for a walk with my wife.
