Colossians 3:15 - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (New King James Version)
Any body whose life is not hid in Christ tends to always address peace in the concept of making peace or creating peace; and to this end they will speak on 50 ways to create peace. Such an attitude is summed up by Robert Fulfham an American author when he wrote = “Peace is not something you wish for. It's something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away.”
But thanks be to God who gives us victory in Jesus Christ. Let no one seduce you with words of cunning sleight of mind that real peace is something to work towards. No, God forbid, for our peace is seen in face of the crucified Lamb of God as described in Isaiah 53. Inner peace that sets our minds in a higher place upon that ancient of rocks only comes from gazing into the face of Jesus where you will see the un-flappable look and total calmness in his eyes.
By doing this Jesus has promised to give us his peace as in John 14:27, for the words of Jesus are spirit and life. In the midst of our turmoil we simple turn to look into the eyes of Jesus and surrender our frenzied thoughts onto the alter of his victory; for the cross has taken away the need for us to create and strive for peace within ourselves.
The enemy will only try to cause you to ‘worry out' your difficulty. No turn your eyes upon Jesus and look into his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. And in that instance the peace of God will flood in like a tsunami and his peace will rule our trouble hearts and minds.
