Daily Bible Verse: Isaiah 58:11

Isaiah 58:11 - The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (New International Version 1984)

This is one of the most precious promises that God can give us. Often we find ourselves in a sun drenched place at the end of our tether, worn out, sun burnt, blistered and craving solace from the blazing sun. The sand burns our feet for we cannot walk another step. In this situation we so easily forget the love of God, of which we are told, will never leave us, neither can we be separated from Gods love and Fatherly care.

But the sun burns down and the obedient and surrendered soul is being guided by the Lords unseen hand for such a sun drenched time will pass with the coming of the evening cool with the soft zephyrs of the Holy Spirit. For God will satisfy our every need if by faith we cling to Him and are of a lowly heart for blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall inherit the kingdom of God, as well watered trees beside the waters of life.

You shall be like the trees of Lebanon planted by the Lord and drinking of the waters that Christ gives through the shedding of his blood, as we bear fruit in season. And all the trees on the hills will clap their hands in praise for the Lord has done this.

And all the neighbours will be drawn to the oasis and will dwell in your garden basking in the shade and peace of the trees and waters.

Never say that God does not take us through the desert with out a plan in mind that is good and will bring no harm to us for we will be a blessing to the nations.

I love this passage of scripture. We tend to forget that God is also the God of the Desert as well as the God of the Storm. When He leads us through the "desert" or through the "storm", He has a purpose for doing so, even though we might not see it. We must learn to trust God... even in the desert.

Blessings!

Not only is this blog written with beautiful poetic phraseology but with "soft zephyrs of the Holy Spirit" that illuminate the strength and beauty that exudes from this verse of scripture. I'm so glad The Holy Spirit inspired you to write on today's Bible Verse, every line spoke to my heart.

God has given you a wonderful gift of writing syntax, wmj.

Thank you for the reminder and words, He always has a plan. If I will only obey and remember he has all under control.

In Him,
Les

These short sentences are "power-packed!" O that I could remember "more quickly" that He does indeed have a plan AND that HE is the one who has "all under control."

Thank you, Les, so much for this response, because all too often, difficult circumstances in which we find ourselves lead us into forgetting these important spiritual facts.

Blessings always
