forgive us lord we have treated your city shabberly

When I read the news the other day that my beloved country had co sponsored a UN resolution condemning Israel I felt a great sense of shame come upon me.  I cried out to the Lord, ‘Save us Lord, forgive us for my country does not know what they are doing.’

In their wisdom they believe that this is the way to peace but I am frightened that because of this mis guided motion that my country will have Gods hand of grace lifted further from us.  Even as I write this I do so in a garment of sadness and with tears in my eyes once again.  ‘O Father forgive us.’   On behalf of the others in my land that pray for the peace of Jerusalem I pray Psalm 91 over them.

Jerusalem is so central to Gods end time plans that the nations seduced by the enemy will do all they can to destroy Gods beloved city, a city that he has chosen as his own.  O Father I give you no rest until you finally establish Jerusalem as the city of your favour and the praise of all the earth.

Jesus does not return, nor does any great end-time objective take place without Jerusalem and Israel being central to it.  Therefore we should not be deceived for it is almost insanity to believe that the Blood of Jesus is powerful enough to give us access into Heaven despite our sins, and not believe it is powerful enough to spiritually secure the city and country where it was shed.  For a long while I was deceived, as I had swallowed the ‘replacement theology’ through ignorance.   May God forgive me.

How can we, who are students of the scriptures, rightly dividing the word of truth so easily overlook that Jerusalem is control to Gods plans.  Arrogance perhaps?  Pride?  It is my contention at this moment in my walk with the Father that any doctrine, interpretation of scripture any teaching that casts aside the centrality of Jerusalem is suspect.  I also surmise that every major, false doctrine starts with diminishing natural Israel and natural Jerusalem

For those who would diminish Jerusalem to "Old Testament" importance, remember that this is the very location that Jesus Christ was crucified.   To those who hang their hat on replacement theology I would beg of you to seek the Lord on this matter, for I long to see grace abound more and more on your head.

Please take notice of this warning from the Psalmist ~

If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill.
6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.  Ps 137

This blog weighs heavily on my spirit as I weep for my country and the others who have fallen into this mis guided wisdom.  Save me Lord for I take refuge in you.

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.  The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.  Isaiah 61
