Gods Warning from Recent World Events

In the last two weeks the news has featured a number of startling events that have brought gasps from many and sent reverberations across the media world. I was on holiday when I caught a flash on the radio about the Pope doing something unheard of since I do not know when. Being on holiday this was something that I did not want to think about too much. After all holidays are to retreat from the world and to relax are they not?

It was only when I came home that I caught up with the bombshell, as one news item reported the resignation of Pope Benedict VXI. I have since learnt that this was an unprecedented move, as it was reported that this has not happened in more than half a millennium.

Following on the heels of this bombshell came the shocking news of Oscar Pistorius' alleged murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. We have been told that he is such a nice young gentleman; well respected and revered across the sporting world, particularly in the disabled athlete’s camp. There has been much speculation and rumour surrounding this event that will feed the grist of media mills for months to come. Article upon article will be written and spoken on this event

These are just two recent examples of prominent people falling from power or falling in disgrace. There have been others, notably in Briton where a number of politicians have fallen in disgraceful circumstances. And I believe the USA has not been exempt from such happenings. No doubt you can recall other prominent people in your local area that have been forced to resign or have been found guilty of various crimes or they have unexpectedly passed away.

Each time a well known figure has fallen for whatever reason we are all shocked that such a thing could happen, as in their positions they seemed untouchable. But I believe that these happenings are a sign of the last days as God will bring down kings and those of high positions in society as a warning that the time is drawing near.

God is angry that kings, presidents, prime ministers and those in positions that are held in high regard no longer fear the Lord. The Lord’s anger is turned to this earth that for so long has mocked him and shown him no respect and praise. Here in my home town the Hero parade has been reinstated with much fanfare and acclaim. Gay marriages are being debated and pushed into law in many areas. These are just a few examples of the worlds disregard for God. I am sure you can recall others.

All of us are guilty of a lack of respect for the holiness of God and God has chosen to give us a sign that will cause those that have eyes to see and hears to hear to be ready for the bridegrooms return.

The Bible says in Jeremiah 5 - 1Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear:22 Should you not fear me?" declares the LORD. "Should you not tremble in my presence? I made the sand a boundary for the sea, an everlasting barrier it cannot cross. The waves may roll, but they cannot prevail; they may roar, but they cannot cross it.23 But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away.24 They do not say to themselves, 'Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives autumn and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.'25 Your wrongdoings have kept these away; your sins have deprived you of good .

God alone is to be feared, and I believe that we must take heed and learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near

In the time to come I believe that we will see more well known and likeable people laid low and brought down as a sign that the Lord is displeased with our land and a stark reminder that we need to have our house in order as the days are shortened before we will all have to stand before the judgement seat of the God and give an account of our works.

Welcome back. I hope you had a good vacation. I don't quite know how to take it when people say that we are not to fear God. It litteraly would mean that we would have to throw out most of the Word of God. But then when we understand from Proverbs that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, I guess that is why there is so little wisdom in this world today, even in the churches noone feels the need to fear God.

Bless you, and we missed you.

I must confess that I had to look up what the Hero Parade was. Yes, that occurs here too although it is called by another name.

God will not be mocked and I too believe that we will see more and more of this in the coming days.

Brother John, yes those who are proud will be brought down by the Lord.

I live in a government of proud and arrogant goevernment and I believe that one day, the Lord will also deal with their arrogance, their deep pride that they alone build the nation when actually it was Jesus who had carved us out of the Federation and who had made us what we are today.

These are the government who are watching the movements and the growth of the churches here and will then take measures to curb them but to no avail. Praise the Lord.

May the will of the Lord be done as He pleases for He alone is God.

Thanks for sharing

Blessings always
