let the redeemed give thanks

Give thanks to the LORD,for he is good;his love endures forever.2Let the redeemedof the LORD say this-- Ps 107

One of the tragic malaises that can affect the redeemed of the Lord is the lack of gratitude shown to our Saviour and Lord. God requires two things from his people that will keep us in his grace and walking in the light. First of all he requires that we appreciate what he has done for us. Secondly he appreciates that we spend time to expresses our gratitude.

It is a disgrace to the work and nature of God for his redeemed to take his work on the cross for granted. Proverbs warns us that if we fail to acknowledge him he will not direct our paths. Maybe this is the reason many of the redeemed are falling away from the faith in these last days. We must take time out to render to God thanksgiving – does not the psalmist tells us to enter his courts with thanksgiving and to enter his courts with praise? Yet how many of Gods redeemed show gratitude for the work and cost of our salvation. The reason why salvation is so easy is because the heavy cost has been paid.

Gods heart is heavy as the days are drawing to a close for his people, redeemed at the cost of his Sons life do not stop to show gratitude. Will he find faith on the earth when he returns for his redeemed?

Thankfulness is the appropriate response to the salvation that is ours as a free gift by the grace of God. Let me say this – if we fail to give thanks to God we will find that we are not walking in his grace.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,29for our "God is a consuming fire. Heb 12

Thanks is the manner in which we are to worship God and in so doing Gods power will be released in our spirits. If we desire to walk into a deeper fellowship with God thanksgiving and praise will release the resurrected power in our spirits. If we long to operate in the gifts, praise and thanksgiving will release Gods gifts in our hearts.

Failing to show gratitude to our Heavenly Father is to quench the spirit. We are exhorted in Thessalonians that giving thanks is Gods will – hence failure to not give thanks and show gratitude is disobedience. How many of Gods children are walking in disobedience un aware of their position before God?

One thing I must make clear is that showing gratitude and thanks to God originates in the Will, for such does not depend on our emotions.

And whatever you do,whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanksto God the Father through him. Col 3

'Whatever you do' – this is clear for it encompasses all things from cleaning the shower to going to bed; everything. In tribulations, trails, hardships and rejoicings;' Gods word says in everything. This is a choice that we need to make and only you can make that choice – no one can make if for you.

Showing gratitude will ensure that peace of Christ will rule in our hearts. Showing gratitude is to ensure that the word of God will dwell richly in us.

Be joyful always;17pray continually;18give thanks in all circumstances, 1 Thess 5

Three simple instructions that will keep us walking in the light for these three requirements are for the redeemed of the Lord to continually practice without ceasing.

Amen brother. God so deserves thanksgiving and praise for all we have and are in Jesus Christ. True thanksgiving and praise means we will serve acceptably, in reference and Godly fear. Shame that so few today do not fear God as scripture, and Jesus Christ Himself told us to. In fact Jesus said He is the only One to fear. But many professingHis name say no.

Without the redemption we have in Jesus Christ, we are lost. Unacceptable to God. May we ever gives thanks and praise to God, in Jesus Christ. Those who obey Him, love Him, are filled with the Holy Spirit, and made new. Thanks for this blog. In Christ Jesus. Maranatha

I echo Billy's 'Amen!'

I love everything about the way this message has been presented, for it conveys a great truth of which we, the redeemed, need to be consistently mindful.

Thank you, wmj.

God bless

And let the redeemed of The Lord give thanks!

How correct. He will not only stop directing our paths (our choosing) but our hearts are now cold and callous. God continues to prompt while receiving no response.

In Him,

[b]give thanks in all circumstances![b]
