I was praying the other morning the Holy Spirit pressed upon me one word – Illuminate. As this word came into my spirit I saw a great powerful light illuminating believers and the church. Much like a search light beaming down and capturing each of us in its glare.
According to my English Penguin dictionary the word illuminates means –
a/ to cast light on something.
b/ to decorate in brilliant colours.
c/ to clarify something.
Therefore the Lord says to you look up and see my light shinning down on you. Allow me to open up your dark places in your soul, so that the hidden things are revealed to my grace. Surrender your spirit to me says the Lord for I wish to illuminate my word to you in greater clarity and depth. To those who are struggling in the darkness, look up for my illumination is about to shine on you. You will receive a fresh word that will carry you over the mountain and through the valley. The Lords light of refreshing will be your strength.
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalm 37
Be encouraged for your darkness will turn to day and your morning will be as bright as the noon-day sun. Rejoice for your black tomb will be flooded with the glorious light of my grace.
Therefore rejoice my people, says the Lord, for I will come and decorate you with my glory and holiness. As I clothed Aaron and his priests, so will I clothe you in my robes of righteousness. Come into my fitting room calls the Holy Spirit, and I will bespoke your clothes, as I dressed Joshua the priest, as recorded in Zechariah 3. No longer will you be clothed in fifthly garments for you are redeemed and dwell in heavenly courts. Our clothes must reflect our status as kingdom people.
Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.
4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”
5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and
See says the Lord, I will once more illuminate the pathway before you so that you will not turn off to the right or left, but be able to walk down the middle. No longer will you stumble for the light will be your guide and each rock, hole and dip will be clearly seen. No longer will you tip-toe along your path for now you will walk with confidence as you see clearly each step before you. Your eyes will be opened and you will see much clearly in the Lords pure glorious light.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119
I encourage you to take this word as your own and believe the Lord for his illumination into your life. My prayer is that the word of the Lord will be found in your heart and on your lips as you give thanks for his illumination.
