Scriptures to Ponder Over

As I was praying and seeking a word for CB I heard the Lord impress these words into my spirit.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  2 Chron 7:14

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.  Ps 127:1

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.  Mal 3:10

I was struck by the order of these three verses. First we must have a repentant heart. We must not confuse repentance with "saying sorry". It is much more than that. We must do an about face! Secondly we must align our will with God's will and focus on building His Kingdom rather than our own. Finally, we must recognize that all that we have comes from God and God alone and out of a grateful heart, we must give back to Him in return.
