The Battle Still Rages on and On

I have been under spiritual attack over these last few days.  The other day my prostate played up causing me to question and doubt Gods healing power.  Today I have felt achy and sluggish as if my body is not running in top gear.  OK, you may call this a flue thing but when I heard my mind say, ‘I do not feel like blogging tonight and praising the Lord.’  I knew this was more than a physical onslaught.  In these end times when those who are in tune with the Lords times and seasons we must be awake and realise that we are on the brink of a tremendous work of the Lord, the enemy is counter attacking.

Yes I believe those that are called of the Lord to be his ambassadors in these end times are being muzzled in many ways so as to hinder Gods plans.  Yes I had to take a stand and fight against those negative thoughts that were piercing my mind.  I had to stand on the word of God and confess in faith that his word was true and that I am a child of God and were not going to be intimidated.  I stood on the truth that God has a perfect plan for my life along with his blood having healing power.

The fact that this blog is coming to you testifies to the power of the Holy Spirit and the authority we have in Christ.  We need to be on our guard for our enemy is prowling around seeking to de-rail Gods plans that are for our good and to prosper us.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29

We must never forget that Gods plans for us and the body of Christ are for us to prosper.  The enemy will convince us otherwise by speaking words of doubt, negativity, unbelief in Gods love for us, curses and finally death that we convince ourselves to be  are our destiny.  We need to take up our armour and stand in prayer, first for ourselves and then for others as we intercede for those who cannot stand on their own.  Today we are in a spiritual battle that we must recognise and take the approbate action as a soldier of Jesus Christ.

Father I stand before you redeemed by the blood of Jesus and I declare and decree that your hand will uplift the tired and thirsty ones and strengthen their weak knees and drooping arms.  May they be strong again in your name as they stand on your word and seek your face in prayer and thanksgiving.  I break in the name of Jesus any stronghold that has been build in their minds of anxiety, doubt and anger.  Release the prisoner Lord for your names sake.  Amen.

As I was praying the other day in the early hours of the morning I was reminded of a story of Samson recorded in Judges.  It is found in Judges 15

Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the LORD, “You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

19 Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore, and it is still there in Lehi.

Samson had been in a vigorous battle with the enemy by slaying 1,000 with the jaw bone of an a**.  Exhausted and in water deprivation he collapses of thirst crying out to God.  The text does not tell us our long he lay in the dust of the ground suffering from muscle crampsweakness, lightheadedness, and nausea

Many of Gods saints can relate to this exhaustion and utter weariness.  Of lying in the dust of the earth too confused to think, battle weary from the endless days and nights of fighting, struggling to keep ones head above the water.

Can I say to you that God has heard and he will open up the earth and fresh life giving water will flow forth.  To those who are like Samson, stand on this truth that the Lord will be the one to satisfy your spirit.  Take faith and hope that you are soon to step into a realm of ground-breaking refreshing and revival.  Your prayers have come up before the Lord and He is answering with a well in a dry place!  I pray that we may not loose faith in the arm of the Lord that he cannot quench our thirst and prosper us.

Father I pray that you will open wells of your glory and living water where we lie exhausted from the battle.  Open our eyes that we may see the angels encamped around us with the ladder going up to the heavens.  Revive us Lord so that we can continue to pray for labourers into the harvest.  Teach us to drink only of your spirit and satisfy us with your love and glory.  Amen

Stop thinking the worst when the battle comes against you says the Lord.  Learn to cast out false imaginations, thoughts of doubt and un-worthiness.  Then to stand strong in Jesus Christ and cast these negative life destroying thoughts onto me says the Lord.
