The Holy Spirit is saying to me; 'Lean into me and I will be your strength. Cease from leaning into your understanding for such is like the mist that is blown away and does not last even though it waters the earth for a while. Lean on my word for this will be your strong tower when the storms bow, which they will.'
'Do not lean unto the supernatural for that is not your source of strength, nor expect miracles. Rather your hope is in Christ himself, his presence, his death and resurrection. Cultivate my presence to surround you for you must walk out my gift of faith that the Father has given you. Be strong and persevere in my name.'
Open your eyes and recall that you are in a covenant relationship with the Father for on the cross your old life was exchanged for Christ's glorified life. Therefore learn and accept your responsibilities as I open my storehouse of blessings. Learn to walk in my word. Learn to walk in worship before me. Learn to listen in prayer with me.'
'Cease to dwell on your shortcomings and look to me for your shortcomings are not my plan for you; arise and throw off the condemnation and darkness of the enemy. For such thoughts are not from the Father. Arise, burn and shine the Fathers glory for I am about to do a new work in you that will bring my name to the nations.'
'This is the day that I have made for you to rise up and claim your authority in the blood of Jesus. I have given you dominion over all things for you can trample the enemy under your feet that have been shod with the peace of the gospel.'
Scriptures to hold in your heart:-
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5
; to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Luke 22:20
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6

"Cease from leaning into your understanding... // Learn to walk in my word. Learn to walk in worship before me. Learn to listen in prayer with me."
Excellent, for when the flesh in us begins "ceasing" from what we "think" we know, then we can begin the "learning" of how to walk, worship, and listen to our Lord.
I just can't say enough good about how helpful these blogs in this series are, wmj! I'm so thankful that God is helping you to minister to us through them.
Yet we are to seek deeper uderstanding of the Spirit. And gain the knowledge and wisdom of and from God. In His word and His Word, our Saviour, do we learn and grow in our walk.
A Theological question.
If we are born again in the Spirit And of the Spirit And walk in the Spirit then were does our source of strength come from - if not from the Spirit.
Quite frankly, It's the falling in love with Jesus that puts EVERYTHING in the right perspective for us to receive EVERYTHING he died to give us. I'm elated with joy to experience the wonderful confirmations in your blogs. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. (Proverbs 25:11 ESV)
This reminded me of something I was told when I was facing cancer treatment. Often we seek the "hand of God" more than we seek His face. We are like the crowds who flocked to Jesus because they wanted to experience/see miracles but then disappeared as time went on. They had little interest in the Bread and Water of Life. They merely wanted miracles.
May we seek God's face rather than just His hand.
Thank you wmj for the excellent word. As enje said we cannot allow the flesh or soul try to determine the spiritual. In Him, Les
