I have published 252 blogs and shared 1,386 comments.
I published my first blog on Thursday the 15th of December 2005.
My most recent blog was published on Wednesday the 28th of March 2018.
I currently live in: United States.
My local date/time is: Tue 19, 04:33 am.
Posting this via my phone... I have had my internet at my house/office disconnected again due to failure to pay the bill, as i have no money to pay it. that bill is about $300. One of my credit cards is currently $2500 over the limit due to failure to pay fees/penalties. My other credit card has $18.58 available. My one checking account has $9.60 in it. My one savings account at $30.82 in it. My paypal account is in a negative state of -$19.80 due to a chargeback.
For those unaware, CB is my only source of income, so the amount you see on the homepage of the CB website is how much income I have each month. Right now, for October is it $472. My average monthly income over the course of 2018 is somewhere around $750... per month. Ouch!
$750 bucks to try to keep the bills paid, plus everything else, is just not enough... more or less ~$475 bucks. Of the $475 that has come in so far this month, $100 went to pay our gas/power bill, and another $100 went to put some money on each of the credit cards.
That has left $275 for me to work with.
Something that I have not shared is that due to lack of funds over the last year I have lost a massive amount of body weight and body mass. A few months back I hit a low of 118 pounds. I have been fighting trying to stay above 120 pounds for months. If I were to go open my fridge/freezer right now, there would be a small thing of milk and a couple of frozen meals. That plus a box of cereal is literally all of the food in my house. I just hope that every day that I wake up that there has been a monthly subscription via paypal, so I can go to the store and buy a day or two worth of food. things are bad, really bad.

An interesting question that I saw posted elsewhere: > How would Jesus be treated by the Christian organizations, denominations, and leaders of today?
My sister, who pays for our house and some house bills, has been out of work for almost a month, and not sure when she will get another job. Last month I made under $750. Sister got denied unemployment for reasons nobody knows. We are looking to be in a pretty bad situation for the next 45-60 days. Could use some intercession on the financial side of things for us.

I was walking through a store yesterday and saw this stuff, - the name of it caught my eye. I would have bought some to try, but not at $8 bucks a pack. Anyone ever had this brand?
Hey all, we have three items in the ChristianBlog.Com Amazon Wishlist that we could really use. If any of you have the means and feel lead to help out, that would be great. Just send over a donation (paypal friends & family works best, no fees!) for the amount and let me know it is designated for a specific item.

I do not speak/understand Russian, so not 100% sure there is not any bad language in this... if you do understand Russian and there is, sorry.
But, this is a really cool video! It is a PACK of wolverines, which are usually very solitary animals. Apparently, there was a bunch of food in one of those containers and it drew them all together.
Some of you might need to hear this right now... I sure did today.

Q1 of 2018 not looking too good financially here at CB. We had a negative amount of $479 over the last two months. With about 12 days left in this month, as of right now, we are at under $200 of income of our needed $1200. So all said we are ~$1500 under what is needed to cover our bills for the quarter.
That being what it is, thank you to all those who have helped along the way!
Spotify (the music streaming service) updated their Terms of Service this past week. I was looking over the changes and they added something to their "hate speech" clause which I found to be rather nice, though very strange. They have used the same terminology as what CB has for a few years (and most other websites on the internet) so them adding something very much caught my attention. What they added was "veteran status".
What do we consider hate content? Hate content is content that expressly and principally promotes, advocates, or incites hatred or violence against a group or individual based on characteristics, including, race, religion, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, veteran status, or disability.
Not something that I would have expected a top 100 website see add to their clause, but gotta say, I like it.
A quick update for those of you in the EU regarding the GDPR.
ChristianBlog.Com is, and has been for a few years, about 90% compliant to the GDPR requirements.
Over the last year we have invested the time and money into meeting the GDPR standards.
We are currently at about 98% compliant.
The remaining percentage to reach full GDPR compliance is expected to be achieved before the May 28, 2018 deadline.
They are Articles 17 and 28 and have to do with 'Right to Erasure', which detail specific ways of handling the permanent removal of data that the CB services have never been configured to do.
While we have never (amazingly, never) had any member specifically request a total and permanent removal of that data from the CB services, we need to have that ability in place to help us reach the necessary requirements for GDPR.
Included within that is that we need to resolve how to handle issues such as private messages that would become half-deleted due to the removal of one persons data deletion.
Of all of the aspects of the GDPR, the 'Right to Erasure' section, is, by far, the hardest one to implement. The deleting of content from dozens to hundreds of different databases, all specifically designed to handle very specific things, is, truly, an utter nightmare. Most websites/services these days are designed to never have any data deleted from databases.
Once we have reached the necessary point to further update our position on GDPR we will get that message shared.

Posting this from my phone (which I have very limited internet access with) but wanted to let everyone know that my home/office internet got suspended due past due bills, which I have not been able to pay for a few months. I really have no idea when I will get the bill paid. I am currently maxed out all credit cards, and have significantly more important bills to pay, which I cannot as I have less than $100 bucks in all of my accounts, and I have about $5000 in past due bills. So, long message brought to a closure, it may be some time before I am able to get back online. Please pray for some kind of massive financial change happening in my life/ministry.
Happy Birthday Marsha Tyler Ronquist (@kraftykatz)
I have been trying to bring the misc notifications under control, especially for the duplicates for 'so-and-so commented on such and such' blog, which have gotten out of control.
The updates that I made today might take a day or two to work their way through the system (marking all your alerts, at least once, as read will help) and I will, of course, keep an eye on things over the next day or two to see if it is helping or not.
These notifications are a rather tricky bit of notifications to try to manage from a software perspective.
Added two new sections to the Dashboard.
The first (for those with PRO memberships) is a new "Most Popular Viewing Times (your blogs)" section, just below the previous "Most Popular Viewing Times (global)" section, that will show the most popular times that just your blogs are being viewed.
The second is a "Highest Viewed Published Blogs" section which shows your 10 most viewed blogs, below the existing "Recently Published Blogs" section.
Also invested a few hours of work into getting the "Friends Map" to be more accurate.
Set an all time record (well, as of the last 200+ years of tracking) high temperature today in the little town that I live in. It went from our normal mid C10°|F50° temps to almost C32°|F90°. Nearly a 100% increase in temp. This would be like a normal C32°|F90° temp area going to C54°|F130°, to put it into perspective.
There is a brand new feature that I have added to the website last night... now you can get the "Daily Bible Verse" sent to your email inbox every day!
At around 1am (pst) each day the CB website will send out our daily Bible verse to anybody who signs up!
At this point in time, due to the cost of licensing rights, we cannot offer the ability to receive it in the mainstream translations (njkv, esv, etc) so the translation, at least for now, is going to be the Peshitta, same as what is displayed/used here on the CB website. Maybe in the future if we get a lot of people signing up for this, we can look into purchasing license rights, but that can be thousands and thousands of dollars each year.
For now, I look forward to a bunch of you signing up for this and letting me know what you think of it after a few weeks!
